Pansy was once again trying to avoid Theodore Nott. Part of her didn't want to, especially today, when she'd spent all day texting Thoreau and had barely gotten a response. But, they were working things out. She was going to be a good girlfriend and not do anything to jeopardize their relationship.

Which was why she was thankful for the weekend. She'd spent most of her day shopping and waiting for Thoreau to text back. She was having a salad for lunch and staring down at her phone. But, then she saw someone approach her table. She looked up and arched a brow. "I see not even stalking is below you, Nott. Are you having me followed or checking the sightings list on Gossip Girl?"

"I wasn't stalking you. I was shopping," Theodore said, holding up the bag in his hand and raising an eyebrow at her. "You were sitting alone, staring at your phone, so I thought I'd come say hello."

Theodore took a seat, ordering himself a cup of coffee. "I don't follow Gossip Girl as religiously as the rest of you. It's beneath me. I have an alert when she mentions me. That's it."

	Pansy looked at her phone for a moment, then slid it into her bag and shook her head. "I'm not looking at Gossip Girl either. I was waiting for someone to text me. That's all." She informed him, crossing her arms over her chest. "I don't recall telling you that you could sit with me. You didn't ask." Pansy told him and then softened. "Have you spoke with Thoreau?" Theodore looked at Pansy for a moment and then nodded. "We talked this morning," he said. "We were supposed to spend the day together, but he begged out. Something about pulling a muscle and being too sore to go out. He said he couldn't move around much."

He glanced at Pansy's purse, where he phone had disappeared. "I assume, then, that the person you were waiting to get a text from was Thoreau? He's probably just napping." Why was he defending Thoreau? Theo should have been taking advantage of this.

Pansy nodded, letting her eyes fall, giving her purse a worried look. She bit her bottom lip and then took a deep breath, glancing at Theodore. She couldn't let herself get too upset. He always took advantage of it.

"I suppose you're right." She told him, then shook he head. "I'm just being silly. I should go find a dress to wear to the charity gala tomorrow. Then one Thoreau won't be able to make." She stood.

Theodore look a sip of his coffee and then stood. "Are you taking Draco as your date?" he asked her, picking up his own shopping bag. He threw some money on the table, then offered Pansy his arm. "If he's still behaving himself, he'll be a good replacement. It's not like he can bring a real date."

He could spend time with Pansy and not finger her. He could show her that they weren't just sex. And then maybe they'd have more sex.

"Nott..." Pansy looked at his offered arm and sighed softly. She didn't want to not take it in a restaurant full of people and she gave him a look that clearly showed her feelings as she did.

"It's not a good idea for us to be together." She told her. "As I've said. Thoreau and I are trying to be together. And being around you..." She shook her head. "I don't have a date and Draco doesn't want to go."

"If you and Thoreau are trying, I'll respect that. As I've said." Theodore looked down at Pansy, ignoring the look she sent him as he escorted her out of the restaurant. "Spending time together doesn't mean we're going to have sex."

He shrugged. "I'll be your escort. You can keep in regular contact with Thoreau if you don't trust me to keep my hands to myself. If you go by yourself people will talk."

"What do you expect me to do? My boyfriend hasn't called me back to even tell me if he will be coming with me. He's completely blown me off all day." Pansy blinked away tears and shook her head. It hurt. Why was he suddenly being so distant with her?

When they were outside, Pansy let go of Theodore's arm. "I need to go." She told him, looking away quickly. She didn't want to break down in front of him.

Theodore grabbed Pansy's arm before she could get away from him and gestured for his car. He pulled the door open. "Get in," he said. "I'll give you a ride. It'll be less embarrassing if you break down in front of me somewhere private than if it gets splashed around Gossip Girl."

He gave her a stern look. "I don't care if you cry, Pansy. I don't think it makes you weak. I just want to make sure you're all right. Get in the car."

Pansy got into the car with Theodore. She didn't want Gossip Girl to get anything on her. Not now. Her hands shook as she sat in the warm, leather seat and looked up at the boy in the car with her.

"What am I going to do?" Pansy asked, her voice quiet? Sad. "I'm a girl who gets chased and victimized by Gossip Girl. And now I'm having an affair with my gay boyfriend's best friend. I don't-" She burst into tears, closing her eyes. "He tells me he's going to get better. That he loves me and that we can be together. But, that he doesn't want to touch me."

Theo reached over and pulled Pansy close to his chest, kissing the top of her head and running his hand up and down her back to try and soothe her. "You're going to break up with him," he said, voice firm. "I don't care what he says to you, Pansy. You're going to do it."

He pulled back a bit so he could look at her. "Maybe in a few months the two of you can be friends again. Until then, you need your space. He doesn't deserve you."

"I can't just break up with him. He hasn't done anything wrong." Pansy told Theodore, shaking her head. "He's trying. He kisses me." She paused and looked over Theodore for a moment, then reached up and touched his cheek. She had an idea.

"Do you think that..." She bit her bottom lip and sighed. "Do you think that you can scheme with me? If we can get him to admit to some sort of... I don't know. Do you think he's acted on it other than with Draco?"

Theo looked at Pansy for a moment, then smiled. "I think I can come up with a scheme with you," he told her, touching her head. "I don't know if Thoreau's done anything with someone other than Draco, but we can certainly put temptation in his path."

He smiled at her. Pansy was far too much like him to be with Thoreau. Especially since Thoreau was gay. "There are some clubs I know of."

Theodore laughed at the suspicious expression on Pansy's face. "Why do you think I know of clubs?" he asked her. "I may not be as debauched as your boy Draco, but I was friends with Blaise too. You don't have to be gay to go to gay clubs, and look at me. I get free drinks."

He kissed her forehead. "I'm not gay, Pansy. I would think you'd know that by now. Anyway, there are clubs I could take Thoreau to where he'd have a lot of temptation. Or, if you'd rather, I could always find someone to tempt Thoreau in private."

	"I'd like for this to be discrete." Pansy replied quietly, thinking it over. "I don't want him to do something in front of someone who may send it in to gossip girl. "I'll make sure it's private, then," Theo promised. He wrapped his arm around Pansy's waist, kissing her back and smiling against her lips. "You don't need to offer yourself up to me in exchange for this. I'll have you regardless."

He brushed a bit of hair behind Pansy's ear and kissed her again. "But I'll take dinner with you. Or lunch, where you don't get up and run away halfway through. What do you think?"

"Maybe Daphne doesn't think nice and expensive are the same thing," Theodore said, snorting. "Thoreau likes him. I don't see why. He doesn't really belong at our school. He's on scholarship. I'm not entirely sure his parents are around so it might even be a pity scholarship."

He shrugged, leading Pansy into the shop. "Daphne just likes it when people pay attention to her. She's not picky."

Pansy pointed out with a frown as she led him into the shop, still holding onto his hand, not noticing someone taking a picture of them together. She gave him a weak smile and pulled back, then looked at the dresses. "Do you see anything I would look decent in?" She asked, running her fingers over the material of a lacy, black dress.
