If you want to understand how I felt, I'll explain it to you. Then you can give me our opinion if you think if you were in this situation, if you would just instantly want to be friends with someone.

So here is you, a guy that no one has ever cared about. No one except your brother has ever shown you that you are wanted in this world. And along comes a guy which would be me, who is nice, helps you, says corny things and genially is showing interest where no one else has. Okay, you might have overreacted a bit too much thinking that someone might like you but after that brief meeting, you come across him again. This time, you know who he is. You feel a bit stupid at yourself for getting worked up when you now know that they were only nice to get something. You accept that. You laid the challenge down and nice work, they won. But in return, you think that they really still want to get to know you but you don't get your hopes up.

In the other ear, you have someone, say its a best friend of some sorts, who knows this person, even said that they do but won't tell you who this kind person is. You tell them that they aren't interested and that its all because of the challenge for something. But they say no, that's who they are. They would never play someone. They are too kind and awkward, a genuinely nice person, the nicest you would ever meet. And they are interested in you. They are flirting for that matter, expect you are that stupid to notice that they are flirting that you think that they are just having a normal conversation. So it gets your hopes up again. When that friend even goes to the extend of saying that they will ask them out for you, when you have had no one care about you, it makes you feel amazing that someone cares.

Oh but then slap in the face. Sorry, I was playing you. On top of that, I am sleeping with your best friend, never had any intentions of wanting to be near you because everyone says you are an asshole so I will stick with that too. I will go off with my best friend laughing over this and leave you feeling...
