Walden nodded in agreement. "He's my best friend," he said. Dudley was his best friend, which meant he definitely wasn't looking at Pyxis and thinking about how he wanted to kiss her and hold her and fuck her.
"Romy's asleep too," he told her. He reached out, touching Pyxis's hand. "Pyxis I..." Walden hesitated. "Sorry. Never mind. I should let you get on with your business."
