"I'll be your friend," Walden promised. "I'll be good at it." He kissed Pyxis's forehead and smiled down at her. He could do this. He'd be a great friend for her to have.
"I don't think I've met Lavinia," he said. "We should have a housewarming party and invite all your friends over. And... Romy's friends, I guess, since Dudley and I don't know anyone yet."
