"Or perhaps Draco will wait for Merlin to piece his life back together and then continue on the way he always has, but as a Riddle and not a Malfoy. He might as well have been a daughter," Lucius said, frowning to himself and taking another sip of wine. He looked at Theodore when Pansy said he was a friend of Merlin's. "How do you know Merlin?"
"We're in a debate club together," Theodore said. "And a few other things. We enjoy competing with each other so we've always been good friends. I heard about what happened to him. Being kicked out of the house." He shook his head. "Merlin's very clever, though. I'm sure it won't slow him down much."
