Walden grinned when Pyxis stood up and took her dress off in front of them before leaving the room. And not just because he'd seen Pyxis in a state of undress again. He wanted to clap for her, but he'd already gotten himself put fairly firmly on Petunia's hit list tonight, so he kept the clapping to himself.
Dudley flushed a little, looking at his father and then at his mother, whose mouth was gaping open in shock. "Yeah," he said. He straightened up in his chair. "Yeah, I really do. I like Pyxis just the way she is, not the way she was pretending to be to impress you. If you let yourself get to really know her, you'd like her that way too. She's amazing."
"Well." Petunia felt very flustered by everything that had happened so far this evening. "Well, I don't know. She's a very strong-minded girl, isn't she?"
"She is," Dudley agreed. "I love that about her."
