Lucius was not expecting the kiss, although in retrospect maybe he had pulled Merlin a bit close and gotten a bit intimate with him. He hadn't meant to seem a lot like he was flirting. But Merlin was young and vulnerable and very good looking and so willing at this moment.
Lucius closed his eyes too, kissing Merlin back and tightening his grip on the boy. This was fine. Totally normal. Evan wouldn't mind at all.
