Dudley panicked a little when Pyxis started to cry on him, holding her close to his chest. "Hey -- I -- don't cry," Dudley said, petting at her hair. "I'm not that perfect. It's not worth crying over, I promise."
"Yes it is," Laney agreed, ringing the doorbell. "I'm going to be the normal one. I'm going to get out free and clear and then everyone will wonder how I managed to never shag a cousin and or sibling."
Thoreau pulled Rooney down into a deeper, needier kiss. "God, I'm going to be crazy by the time you take it out," he said, smiling against Rooney's lips. He looked up when the doorbell rang. "I need to put a shirt on."
