Thoreau leaned against Rooney, closing his eyes and gripping at Rooney's shirt, trying to calm himself down. "I love you too," he promised. "I don't want to do drugs. I just want to calm down. I just want to be with you."
Laney laughed at that question. "I play field hockey. I play video games. I read comics. I hang out with my brother a lot. And my dad. My dad definitely wishes I was a boy sometimes, but I'm at peace with that. What about you?"
