Lucius hadn't expected this. He and Merlin were just... It was just a bit of fun they were having. Merlin loved Draco. He said it every time they were together now. And Lucius did love Evan. He didn't want to make him cry.
He took Evan's trembling hands in his, kissing them and shaking his head. "I'm sorry," he said. "I'm so sorry, Evan." Lucius pulled the other man close to his chest and kissed him softly. "I shouldn't be taking you for granted like I have been. You deserve better than me."
