Dudley nodded, smiling at everyone sat around the table. "We've both really wanted to bring our families together. Hopefully this is the first of many gatherings. Romy and I plan on being together for a long time and we want out families to be friends." He reached out and squeezed Romy's hand gently.
Petunia felt a little bit bad because she had been getting judgmental about Romy's family. She took a sip of her wine. "Dinner looks lovely. Would you like Vernon to carve the roast, Romy?"
"Let Rabastan do it," Walden said, shaking his head after looking Vernon over. "Rabastan knows how to carve."
