"I've had time to think since then," Walden said, shrugging. "I've been thinking about a lot of things. Like how much I love you. How much I want this. This life with you." He smiled down at her. "I love you, Pyxis. Sometimes change is good. Sometimes change is amazing."
He reached into his pocket, pulling out
the ring he'd bought her. It wasn't much, but he thought Pyxis would like it. "If you really want to make me happy, marry me."
