"Because he was in love with me," Draco said, looking up at Merlin. "And he didn't want to be around me anymore. It's all my fault and now he doesn't even have his job. I should have been the one who left if either of us was going to leave. He said he didn't want to hang out anymore, but I didn't think -- I thought he just meant outside of work."
He looked down at his hands. "He came over to help me look after all the kids. Caspar had us all dancing to Cher and we kissed." Draco winced. He really should have told Merlin sooner. "I was upset about it because I love you, not Charlie or anyone else, and then he told me everything and said we shouldn't be friends anymore."
