Evan stared at the three things of flowers on the table in his bedroom. Then at the two boxes of expensive chocolates. Then at the expensive bottle of wine. Evan didn't really want to tell his sister what had happened. He knew that she'd immediately judge him for what he'd done, but he knew she'd beat it out of him eventually. He may as well give into the inevitable.

Christina opened the box of chocolates and popped one into her mouth, humming softly. "I don't know," she said. "I might ask him to send more instead. They're good. It's not the worst thing in the world if he has a crush on you. As long as Narcissa knows."

She knew Evan would scold her. Christina shrugged, pretending to examine the box of chocolates for her next choice. "I know it was a bad idea, okay? But... he was a gentleman."
