Christina laughed at that, brushing her fingers over the bracelet. "I don't know. This is so pretty. I might have at least heard you out before I panicked."
She kissed him again and then took out the small gift she'd gotten for him. Elegant silver cufflinks and a matching tie clip with Love Chris engraved on the back. They were nice, and she thought the engraving was subtle enough that it wouldn't matter if it fell off somewhere and someone else saw it. They'd just maybe think Tom was gay, but still. It was diamonds, and it had been all she could afford. She was nervous. "This is for you," she said. "Happy Christmas, Tom."
