Late Practice
Who: Shiraishi Kuranosuke, Chitose Senri
Where: Shitenhouji Tennis Club
What: Chitose comes upon Shiraishi practicing late, and discovers something shocking.

Even in the evening, long after school had already let out for the day--a day of school which Chitose had actually attended--he found himself unintentionally walking through the gates again. Not intentionally of course, his own wandering mind as well as the melodic chime of his geta had determined his path for most of the afternoon. Everyone had their own plans today, so he had nothing in particular to drive him, nothing except maybe the cats along the way to the park.

But they were fed, played with and content by now. By hours ago, which had left Chitose free to go wherever the idea struck--a turn here, down an alley, another turn and straight for blocks. Somewhere along the way he supposed part of him had wanted to return to Shitenhouji. But what? He couldn't be sure--until a familiar sound reached his ears. The sound of a tennis ball and...a racket? And that duller sound...someone was practicing solo. At this point he couldn't help himself, and his curiosity drew him toward the door to the courts.

He wasn't especially surprised at who he saw beyond the door.

"Still practicing this late?" he called over, just loud enough to be heard as he stepped through and let the door swing closed behind him.
