The scene changed.
Pansy stood beside Draco, looking nervous on the opposite side of Merlin, who looked very casual about the whole thing.
When Merlin's name was called, he walked to the stage, but the hat didn't even allow him to sit on the stool before it was screaming out Slytherin.
And then it was yelling for Pansy and she sat down on the stool. It seemed like forever before it decided to shout out Slytherin. She slid off the stool and walked over to the table with a beaming smile on her face.
