"See?" Lucius gestured towards Valentine and Gabriel on the bed. "He likes him. Draco had companions his own age. I thought I'd get Valentine one too. Veelas are almost like humans." Narcissa still looked uncertain about this. Couldn't she see what a brilliant idea it was? "Narcissa, do you know what other people would do with a pretty little Veela boy?"
Narcissa frowned at the thought, glancing at Valentine and Gabriel on the bed. "It would be good for Valentine to have a friend his own age," she admitted, somewhat reluctantly.
"I don't know. The man who kept me said whoever bought me might change my name," Gabriel told Valentine. This whole thing was very confusing for him. He was pretty sure he was supposed to have been bought for something else. "I used to like climbing trees a lot," he admitted, looking down at their hands. "I saw some birds outside. I like birds. Can we play with them?"
