George F. Weasley ([info]gredilicious) wrote in [info]occultus,
George had never deliberately boycotted the weekly Weasley family meal before. He may have joked around a lot with his family, but they meant a lot to him and the fact most of them seemed like they thought he was mental felt like a betrayal. It felt like they didn't trust him and his judgement and it hurt.

The worst part was that his analytical brain knew exactly where they were coming from and knew he would have probably assumed the same thing were it any of his other siblings that were in a relationship with a Slytherin. (Yeah, he'd admitted he was in a relationship in his head but he hadn't said the words out loud yet so it didn't count as one yet.) But the difference was, George liked to think he would have supported them.

He tried to move on, pretend it didn't bother him. He was happy and that was all that mattered, right? So he ignored the situation and carried on as best as he could.

George was in his room, putting the final pieces of his journal back together after dismantling it. Caff, who was lying on his bed being a lazy pup, popped his head up when he heard Forge yell out, his ears twitching a little. "Lunch time, Caff." George ruffled the dog's fur between his ears. Caff leant into the touch but made no move to get off the bed. "Lazy pup." George chuckled, as he moved off the bed and padded out to the kitchen.

He moved to the sink and washed his hands - after all, there was a fair bit of ink involved when meddling with the journals - smelling what his Forge was cooking, his tummy giving an appreciative growl. George came over to the table, giving his Twin an appreciative little smile reserved only for him before he took his usual seat. "Mmm, smells good Forge. Cheesy toast and 'mato soup."
