Bill had snuck into the main part of the pub when Bobby had dashed out of her office after hearing Kirley arrive. He felt a little bad for not telling his friend that he was coming home when he had promised but the look on Kirley's face when he spotted him was well worth it.
"And miss your birthday? Not this year, Daisy." Bill wrapped his arms around the smaller man in a friendly hug. "Happy Birthday, Kirles." He loosened the hug after Bobby came over and joined them. (Orsino had moved to the bar and had somehow convinced the barman to let him have a turn at making cocktails and twirling the bottles.)
"Good surprise?" Bobby asked, a pleased smile on her face. "I was tempted to wrap him up and put a bow on his head but I couldn't find enough paper." At that, Bill poked his tongue out at the cheeky woman.
"Actually, I'm here for good." Bill stated, deciding to be upfront about his situation. Kirley deserved to know, after all, he and Bill had basically grown up together at Hogwarts and were still friends - that had to count for something.
