Scorpius closed his eyes, wrapping his arms around Albus and pressing his face against his shoulder, feeling the nervous tension that had been filling him leave. He'd needed to hear Albus say he loved him again so badly. Everything was going to be okay. Of course Albus felt bad about Kit, but they could still be together.
He reached up to pet at Albus's hair, smiling only because he knew Albus couldn't see it. "I love you too," he said. "You're not a bad person. You're -- we were both drunk and emotions were high and it's... Kit won't like it, at first, obviously, but he'll be okay, I think. Eventually. Don't be terrified, Albus. It'll be okay."
