Cepheus had asked him to do this and Xavier still felt guilty for sleeping with Caspar so he was going to do it. Even though it was going to suck. He would have much rather gone shopping with Scorpius and Cepheus and then gotten wasted and danced with them. But no. He got to make Albus feel even worse than he already did. Xavier knew what cheating on someone you loved felt like.

He walked into Albus and Scorpius's flat and cleared his throat, looking down at Albus. "Come on," he said. "We're going to go out and get drunk. There are some things Cepheus thinks you need to hear and you'll want to get drunk after you hear them."

Albus wasn't kind of shocked when he saw Xavier walk into his flat, having thought he'd locked the door. He was too busy sulking to have really checked, he supposed. He frowned up at Xavier for a moment, then shook his head.

"Hear what?" He asked as he stayed on the couch. "That I'm a pathetic excuse of a human and how I lost two people I love today"

Xavier looked down at Albus for a moment, then sighed. This was by far the worst punishment Cepheus could have given him. He sat beside Albus. "I know how you feel better than anyone else, I think," he said. "I cheated on Cepheus with my friend Caspar, after I'd been apart from him for a really long time."

He squeezed Albus's shoulder. "It felt awful because I care about them so much and I know I hurt them. I don't think it necessarily means that you lost them both, Albus."

"I think that it does." Albus told him, shaking his head. "I came home to see Scorpius and he was gone. I don't think he's going to come back either. I don't even know how it happened. But, I feel like I raped him or something."

"You didn't..." Xavier cleared his throat. "Fuck. Okay. Cepheus sent me here to tell you everything because he thought you should know the full story." And also because it would make Albus feel terrible.

"Scorpius is in love with you, Albus. He's been in love with you for years. I think you're pretty much the only one who doesn't know about it. He went away this summer to try and get over you, but it's hard to forget a feeling you've had since you were thirteen in two months. And..." Xavier hesitated for a moment. "And you were his first. He was a virgin."

Albus listened to what Xavier was saying and just stared at him. There was no way that it was true. That he'd done all that and that he'd never known how Scorpius felt about him. He frowned for a moment, and then it hit him, and he was a crying mess.

"Oh god." Albus held his face in his hands. "Oh god. This is even worse than it was before."

Xavier cringed, wrapping an arm around Albus to try and comfort him. "I know," he said. "I'm sorry. Just... you couldn't figure everyone out if you didn't know the full story, right?"

He rubbed Albus's back. "It'll..." Xavier couldn't quite bring himself to tell Albus it would be okay. "You'll feel better."

"I don't know. Everyone thinks you're both pretty stupid," Xavier told Albus. "You for not noticing that Scorpius follows you around like a puppy and would probably do anything he thought would make you happy, and Scorpius for never saying anything to you."

He reached up to sort Albus's hair out a little after he messed it up. "Everyone thinks Scorpius was really stupid for helping you get Kit. You're just... Marius." It was an example Albus would get. "Kit is your Cosette. Scorpius is Eponine. Except he's not going to die, hopefully."

That reference was something Albus actually got. He frowned for a moment and then let out a sigh. "I won't let him die. But, Marius ends up with Cosette. Regardless of it all. Regardless of knowing how Eponine feels."

He looked up at Xavier. "What about you?" He asked him quietly, thinking of a reference that Xavier may have gotten. "I guess you've got to look at it like this. Your friend Caspar, whom we've all always heard you talk about. How great he is and all that. Is he just a security blanket you don't want to get rid of? Or is he the teddy bear you've had since you were a kid that you love with all your heart?"

Albus was not good at references.

"Does that mean you made your decision?" Xavier asked. "Because if you choose Kit then you've got to tell Scorpius you know everything and you can't be with him. You have to let him go, and that might mean losing him. At least until he gets over you."

He shifted uncomfortably when Albus brought up Caspar. "I don't know," Xavier admitted. "I'm going to introduce them. Caspar and Cepheus. Maybe they'll end up getting along. Cepheus and I are moving in together. We're starting a business together. Things are complicated now."

Albus shook his head. "Things aren't that complicated for you. If you don't love Cepheus properly, you should let him go. Because he's been living the last two years knowing that he's just what you settled for. He talks about it all the time."

He sighed softly, but then his phone was beeping. He frowned. "Scorpius has been seen with some bloke."

"Cepheus talks like that?" Xavier frowned. That wasn't right at all. He loved Cepheus too much to have him going around thinking he was second best. "That's not right. I'll talk to him."

He glanced at Albus's phone. "Is there a photo?" Xavier asked. "Cepheus took him out to get him drunk. Knowing Cepheus, he probably pushed him at the first person Cepheus approved of."

Albus scrolled down a bit and read the article as he went. He stopped when he got to a picture of Scorpius and the other boy getting into a cab. And then a picture of Cepheus and his brother.

He turned his phone away from Xavier. "You don't need to see that part."

Xavier frowned and grabbed the phone from Albus. "Yes, I do," he said, scowling at the photo of Cepheus and James kissing. "I may have left out the part where Cepheus screwed your brother in the back of his car so we both ended up forgiving each other for cheating."

He was going to have a very stern conversation with him whenever he got home. "Cepheus sure sleeps with James a lot for someone who claims to hate him." Xavier scrolled up to look at Scorpius and his boy. "And Scorpius is going home with a porn star. Tonight's not fucked at all." Xavier handed Albus his phone back.

"Wait a second." Albus frowned at Xavier. They could talk about James and Cepheus after they addressed the other thing that Xavier had said. He shook his head.

"What do you mean, he's going home with a porn star?" He asked, feeling his heart plummet to his stomach.

"I mean those stupid blogs pick up on everything else. You think they'd realize that the boy Scorpius is going home with is Rex Strange. You're gay, Albus. You don't watch porn?" Xavier was not in the mood to be nice about anything anymore.

He pulled his own phone out, pulling open Google and doing a quick image search. He held the results out to Albus. "Meet Scorpius's new friend."

"No. I don't watch porn." Albus told him with a careless shrug. "I've had a boyfriend. I didn't need to watch porn because he was always around to satisfy me. Until now."

Albus took the phone from Xavier and frowned. "Fuck." He shook his head and pushed the phone back at him. "I don't even want to look at it. How stupid is Scorpius?"

"Well, he slept with you, so pretty stupid," Xavier said, putting his phone back in his pocket. "He's Scorpius. It's not like he knows he's about to sleep with a porn star. He's the wide-eyed innocent who gets you together with your boyfriend and then spends two years alone thinking you might choose him in the end."

He ran a hand through his hair and then took his phone out again, texting Cepheus to let him know he saw him with James. "I hope you at least made Scorpius's first time good, because if Rex's work is anything to go by, Scorpius is about to get his world rocked."

Albus felt like killing himself and Xavier was not helping. He frowned at Xavier for a moment and then shook his head, feeling hurt by his words. But, he could get him back.

"Perhaps you're not keeping Cepheus as happy in the sheets as you should." Albus informed him. "Don't worry. He's been wanking it hard to your boyfriend for two years. And if what his other lovers say about him, he's fantastic at it."

Xavier punched Albus. He was a Macnair. There wasn't much he could do about his gut reactions to things like that. "Fuck off," he spat, getting to his feet. He pulled out his phone and texted Caspar instead, asking if he was busy.

"You better be sure you're happy with Cosette, because Eponine is moving on already." He frowned down at Albus. "Maybe that tells us everything we need to know about your skills in bed. Four years of loving you and all it takes is one night to get over it."

Albus felt like he'd been hit by a bus. He grabbed his face and fell back onto the couch. But, Xavier's words hurt a lot more than his punch. He sulked on the couch, starting to cry.

"I didn't know." He said softly, blood pouring from his nose. "I didn't know that he loved me. I loved him for so long and he said nothing to me."

Xavier was too pissed off with the world to care much about the tragedy that was Albus's life right now. He grabbed some napkins from the table and tossed them to the other boy. "Your nose will keep bleeding if you don't stop it," he said.

He crossed his arms over his chest, turning around to look down at Albus again. He looked so pathetic. Xavier refused to let himself turn into that. "Scorpius thinks he's being noble by not saying anything," Xavier told him. "Or maybe he didn't want to ruin your friendship, but you've slept together now so there isn't much that can be done about it."

Albus picked up his phone, not bothering with the tissues. He didn't have time for that. He found Scorpius and texted him a short message, knowing he probably wouldn't check for a while.

I love you.

"You should probably fuck off now." He looked up at him and shook his head. "Maybe show up at my brother's."

"No," Xavier said, stuffing his phone in his pocket. "I think I'm going to go see Caspar instead. Cepheus is probably having fun and I don't need to see them fucking each other."

He tried to sort his hair out again. "Good luck with your love life. Try not to lead either of them on." Xavier left the flat, fuming quietly as he made his way out of the building. He'd just go see Caspar to talk. Not to do anything else. Not until he knew for sure that James hadn't tricked Cepheus into kissing him or something.

Caspar was alone in his flat, since Ana was out on the town with some of her friends. He was making some hot cocoa for himself when he heard the knock on the door and left the kitchen after turning down the heat.

He opened the door and smiled at Xavier. "Hey. I was going to text you."

Xavier held himself back from grabbing Caspar and pulling him into a kiss, settling for smiling at the other boy instead. "I probably should have said something before I came over. I wanted to see you."

He stepped inside Caspar flat. "Is Ana here?" he asked, glancing around. "If she is, can we get her yelling at me out of the way now so we can talk in peace?"

Caspar laughed at that and smiled at Xavier, shutting the door behind him. "No. She's not here, but I've set her straight on her yelling. I wanted you just as much as you wanted me. And I was okay with shagging you while you had a boyfriend. So it was all my doing, really."

He looked him over. "You do look upset, however. Is everything okay"

Xavier pursed his lips for a moment, then sighed and shook his head. "No," he said. "It isn't. Cepheus was seen snogging James Potter at a bar. There are photos of it happening on the internet and everything."

He ran a hand through his hair. "He cheated on me with James once already. I'm sure he's fucking him right now. And I'm not even sure I'm all that upset about it. I'm just mad that he's being a bit of a hypocrite."

Those words made Caspar feel kind of happy and upset at the same time. He frowned at Xavier for a moment, then took his hand into his own and shook his head. It wasn't okay for Xavier, no matter how it made him feel.

"I've made some hot cocoa. Do you want some?" He gave him a small, warm smile. "You can stay here tonight, if you want. So you don't do anything rash."

"Yeah, thanks," Xavier said, smiling at Caspar. "If I'm left alone I'll probably end up pounding down the door at James's flat and punching the git in his handsome face."

He shook his head. "There's been tons of drama today. Phe's twin got drunk and slept with the boy he's fancied since they were kids, Albus. But Albus has had a boyfriend for a couple years and they were always really close and kind of sickening together. So now Albus has these two boys who love him and I just got to tell him that he took Scorpius's virginity when he slept with him last night, plus Scorpius was seen getting into a cab with Res Strange, the porn star. And now this Cepheus thing. It's all really fucking stressful."

"I don't understand how Cepheus and Scorpius's life work in general," Xavier said, shaking his head. "I think it has something to do with being born into a family with billions of pounds in the bank. And then Scorpius is a model, so that probably helped him pull a porn star."

He smiled at Caspar a little, stepping a bit closer to him. "I'm not sorry I did it. I'm sorry it hurt Cepheus, but I'm glad it happened." Xavier had to take a step back again, so he didn't try and initiate anything. He took out his phone. "Let's see if there's anything else on them."

Caspar looked back at Xavier. "I don't know how their lives work, either. I recently found out my father was an exotic dancer when I was a kid to support me and my mum. That was enough of a shock for me."

He didn't like that Caspar had pulled back. He bit his bottom lip. "You know, if anything happens between you and Cepheus, I'll always be around."

"Really?" Xavier raised an eyebrow at Caspar. "Elodie is working as a dancer now." And possibly a call girl. He wasn't sure if selling her virginity had been a one time thing or not. "If your father looks anything like you, I could see it. I'd pay to watch you dance."

He reached up and touched Caspar's cheek, smiling at him. "I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, when I ask him about the photos, but... I'm just trying really hard not to let it be permission to let me kiss you. I want to wait. I don't want to do anything with you until I can commit to you." Xavier scrolled through his phone, stopping on the picture of James and Cepheus and scowled to himself. "That's them." He held it out to Caspar. "Cepheus is kissing him back, right?"

"I only look a little like my dad. I look more like my Mum." Caspar smiled at Xavier. "But, thank you for flattering me."

Caspar looked at the picture for a moment, contemplating what the two of them were actually doing. And then he nodded. "Kind of looks like he's initiating it. Especially considering his hand is.. rubbing at him." He frowned. "You are much better looking than.." He laughed. "Is that James Potter?"

"Yeah," Xavier said, giving the phone a disapproving look. "Cepheus and his brother are best friends with James's little brother. They've known him for forever. Cepheus got off with James right before we officially got together, but he always talked about how much he hated him. I'm thinking I shouldn't have taken the hate so seriously now. The lady doth protest too much."

He looked up at Caspar. "James is a stupid, smug footballer who's got a new boy on his arm every week. I know he's a... gay sporting icon or whatever, but he's annoying. If you scroll up, you'll see Cepheus's brother hanging out with Rex Strange. I said some really nasty things to Albus about that. I should probably apologise."

Caspar led Xavier over to the sofa and pulled him down onto it, then cuddled against his side. "What movie do you watch when you are sad?"

"I don't know," Xavier said, wrapping an arm around Caspar when he took a seat next to him. "I usually watch old movies. I guess Singin' in the Rain. Of course you know Albus. You're both talented performers. It makes sense."

He pulled Caspar a little closer, getting cozy with the other boy against his chest. "Do you have to move for us to watch a movie? Because I don't like that idea."

"No. We can just watch something." Caspar promised as he flipped through the channels. He looked up at Xavier as he found the older films channel, then kissed his neck softly.

"You could always perform for me." He pointed out with a grin. "I haven't seen you dance since we were kids."

Xavier snorted. "Trust me, you weren't missing out on much," he said, playing with Caspar's curls. "I haven't improves much since we were kids. Not in proper dancing, anyway. Elodie, Phe and I go out a lot."

He poked Caspar. "You're the one who's a big star now. I'd like to see you dance for me again," he said. "You were amazing at your show."

"I'm hardly a star, Xavier. I got a local show because my school wanted me to have a showing." Caspar told him simply. "And apparently there was a talent agency that stopped by to watch. But, they haven't gotten in touch."

He closed his eyes as he was pet and then turned his head to capture Xavier's lips tenderly. "I kissed you. You didn't kiss me."

He smiled a little when Caspar kissed him. "I think I should not kiss you again," Xavier said, voice soft as he pulled Caspar a little bit closer.

Caspar slowly crawled into Xavier's lap and kissed him softly, pressing their chests together. He wouldn't do too much hip action, just in case Xavier felt guilty. Or he felt guilty.

Xavier didn't feel guilty. He smiled against Caspar's lips, pulling him a bit closer. "Yeah," he agreed. "I want to."

He kissed him back and tried not to touch Caspar's bum. "You've got gorgeous hair. I love curls. But I can give it some more shape."

Caspar's eyes slid shut as he pressed close to Xavier, trying to ignore what he was thinking. But, he couldn't. He ran his fingers through Xavier's hair gently before he pulled back.

"But, you aren't mine." Caspar whispered. "We shouldn't do this until you can be mine."

Xavier didn't want to admit that Caspar was right. He wanted to pull him back down and keep going because he knew if he tried then Caspar would go along with it, but he held himself back.

"You're right," he said. He leaned in and kissed Caspar again. "I know you're right. I just wish we would keep going." He brushed his fingers through Caspar's curly hair. "I'll do your hair while we watch the movie."
