James was late, but he'd had practice with his team that morning and afternoon and that left very little time after to find Cepheus a good house-warming present. He'd gone with a cheesecake because he remembered having to eat them when Albus took him to the Malfoys' birthday, and then gotten some flowers because ever if Cepheus was definitely going to make a big deal about hating them, they'd end up looking nice in the flat. And they were rainbow gerberas, so James could make fun of Cepheus's comforter.
He found Cepheus waiting outside the door to the flat and raised an eyebrow, pushing the flowers at him. "For you," he said. "In celebration of you finishing our flat. I've also got some cake to christen the kitchen with. Ready to show me?"
