"I... not that great," Kit said, laughing a little and running a hand through his hair. "Classes are good. I've made friends. But it's been... kind of hard, you know? I always thought we were forever."
He reached out, taking Albus's hand into his own and squeezing it gently. "How have you been, Alby? You don't sound... I mean, you seem more upset than I thought. Can I come in? Can we sit?"
