Kit reached up, running his fingers through Albus's hair. He bit his lip to try and keep from crying when Albus told him he loved him still. "Albus, we were together for two years. Even though you hurt me a lot, all that wasn't going to go away because of one night when you were sad and lonely and drunk."
He turned his head, kissing the top of Albus's head. "I think you were scared. I think you were scared and maybe Scorpius told you about his feelings and then you were scared of losing him too so you just... did what felt right."
