Cepheus was having a rough go of it. Not only was he trying to fill out his applications for university, but he was also trying to plan a wedding. Completely by himself. He was a little stressed out about all of it and kept making mistakes and choosing horrible colour patterns and flower arrangements.

He threw his hands up in the air in defeat, deflating a bit on the stool in the kitchen. His eyes moved over the things on the counter. He was too overwhelmed.

James was on his way downstairs after his post-workout shower when he saw Cepheus's hands go up and his fiance slump over the many, many things he had strewn over the kitchen counter. "What's wrong?" he asked, coming up behind Cepheus and kissing the back of his neck.

James's arms slid around his chest, holding the other boy close as he looked over his work. "We've got plenty of time to plan the wedding, babe. You don't have to get it all done in a week like you did with the flat."

"Weddings take a lot of time and precise details. I may not need to get it all done now, but I need a general idea of what I want to do." He turned and kissed James softly, the looked down at his mess on the counter.

"I think I may have wrote down the cake order on my uni application." Cepheus admitted, letting out a soft sigh. "I'm incapable of doing all of this, aren't I?"

"I'm here," James said, kissing Cepheus again and beginning to sort through all the papers on the counter. "You don't have to do it all on your own. And we could always get a wedding planner or something to help you out. Or you could recruit a family member. I've got dozens of cousins to choose from if you don't want to use one of yours."

He found the university application, taking a seat beside Cepheus and laughing at the cake order. "We can redo this easy," he said, shaking his head. "Maybe you should finish your university applications before you tackle the wedding."

Cepheus gave James a very offended look. "A wedding planner. Please. I'm not paying some person to do a job I'm perfectly capable of doing on my own. They would just mess everything up."

He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "I don't want Antonia's help. She'd make it all about her and demand to be in my wedding party. Lala had been busy with her new boyfriend. And Scorpius sulks about me getting married."

"Hey. Lots of people use them," James said, laughing at the look on Cepheus's face. "I'm sorry. We don't have to be one of those people if you think they'll mess things up. I know you're great at this stuff."

He wrapped his arm around Cepheus as he looked at all the wedding stuff on the counter. "Well, Scorpius is going to have to suck it up eventually. I think he and Al patched some stuff up which should make the fact that Al and Kit want to sing at the wedding a bit less awkward. What about your parents? Do your mum and dad... work?"

"I'm not lots of people." Cepheus informed James, shaking his head. "Wedding planners want to have weddings in large venues and they want a lot of money for doing practically nothing."

He looked up at James, thinking about his question. "My father looks for properties to buy and flip. My mother recently started doing some sort of work with a women's group. She plans parties. Daddy is a lawyer, but he's been focusing on a political side, lately. And Luka... Well. He works at the hospital."

"Right," James said. "So your mother plans parties. You don't think she might come in handle to help with the stress of planning? I'd offer my mother, but she's a jock like me. Only less stylish because she's not gay."

He combed his fingers through Cepheus's curls. "My grandmum's great at baking and giving hugs, but organization isn't really her thing. My Uncle Bill and his ex-wife had a really nice ceremony in her backyard though."

"My mother is overbearing and would want to plan everything herself." Cepheus pointed out, shaking his head. "And she would go behind my back to change plans without my permission. That's just how she is. She thinks she knows what is best."

Cepheus snorted at that. "Your grandmum is already baking our cake. She's got a great plan for it." He showed him the sketch. "She's been helping, but you're right. She can't do everything. How do you feel about our wedding being in Scotland? You also need to see the Manor."

"Scotland?" James asked, looking down at the cake sketch and grinning. "I like the cake. It's not girly, but it still looks like a wedding cake. It's cute." He kissed Cepheus's neck. "Scotland is fine with me. Why Scotland?"

James was not looking forward to the manor. It sounded sort of terrifying to him. Huge and empty. "Will I get to meet your grandmother there?"

"There's a huge castle there. I thought we could get married beside the castle and have that as a sort of scenery." He admitted as he thought about it. "I was going for a bit of a bohemian wedding."

He looked up at James, arching a brow. "Is that something you want? To meet my grandmum? She did phone me about wanting to meet you."

"I think that sounds perfect," James said, smiling at Cepheus and kissing him softly. "A bohemian wedding at the foot of a Scottish castle. It's romantic and you're a genius."

He nodded, getting up so he could get them something to eat. "Of course I want to meet her. She's your grandmother. I'm your fiance. What's she like?"

"You know the show Downton Abbey?" Cepheus asked with a snort, smirking at James. "Well. She's like Lady Grantham, but not as mean. She's got a sweet side and she likes to read romance novels and work in her gardens."

He watched James. "What are you going to cook? Nothing too heavy."

James laughed at that. "Well, I look forward to meeting her. I'll have to work on my manners beforehand," he said. "God, I can't believe we're thinking about living in a manor. I guess it'd be great for kids, though. Lots of space and room for imagination."

He shook his head. "I thought I'd make a quick tomato sauce and do some penne. That okay with you, or should I do a grilled chicken salad or something instead?"

"It's not that bad. I mean, it's huge. But, it's not a bad place to live." Cepheus told him, shrugging. "But, Rigby, our daughter, would probably be super spoiled in it. She'd probably get my grandmother's quarters, which are pretty well made for a princess."

Cepheus thought about the food. "I suppose pasta is fine. As long as the sauce isn't too hearty."

James laughed at that, clearing a bit of space so he could actually make dinner. He leaned over the counter and kissed Cepheus briefly. "We have a daughter named Rigby now?" he asked, washing some tomatoes.

"It's a nice name. I just didn't know we'd had her." He glanced over his shoulder at Cepheus as he started chopping them up. "It's a light sauce. I hope we have more kids. I want at least three."

"Yes. We have a daughter named Rigby. And I'm going to dress her up every day and fix her hair." Cepheus informed James. "I have other baby names I like, but I figured I'd give you a fighting chance. Even if your name is James Sirius."

Cepheus leaned in and kissed James again. "Three would be fine with me. Anymore than that and I wouldn't be able to keep up."

"My name is not my fault," James said, shaking his head and chopping up some garlic too before he turned on a pan to throw the sauce together. "It's not like I'm Albus Severus."

He thought about names for a moment. "I'd like something modern," he said. "Jaks or Cash or something. You're going to spoil Rigby. I can hear it in your voice already."

Cepheus rolled his eyes. "Albus Severus is possibly the worst name I've ever heard. And he hates being called Al. Which, when you think about it, really isn't better than Albus."

"Of course I'm going to spo-" He paused. "Wait. Did you say Albus and Kit want to sing at our wedding together? But, you know how adorable they are when they're singing together. Right? Do you want my brother to suicide in the bathroom?"

"Al is way better than Albus," James said dismissively. "Dad and I call him Al all the time. He's just a twat about it. It's definitely better than Alby. Seriously, that's grating."

He snorted at Cepheus's question. "I kind of figured Scorpius would be over it by the wedding," he said. "Do you want me to try and set him up with someone? I'm sure I know someone gay and single who would be suitable for him. There are a couple boys I dated. And my Uncle Charlie's bisexual with a thing for blonds."

Cepheus looked James over and arched a brow. "You want to set my brother up with your exes? Do you want to sleep on the sofa tonight?" He shook his head. "What's your uncle Charlie like?"

"God. Don't remind me of that. Kitty is just mental on Al's part," James said, shaking his head. "You should try and get your brother to stop calling him Alby. Maybe he'll let go a little."

He laughed, putting his noodles into his pot. "No, I don't want to sleep on the sofa. Especially when we have two bedrooms still. No exes then." James thought about his uncle as he stirred the sauce. "He's nice. Maybe... a bit old. He sings showtunes when he's drunk."

"So, me calling you Jimmy Jams is different?" Cepheus asked with a laugh, looking James over. "It's just pet names that lovers give each other. I called Xavier, Xavywavy."

"How old is old?" Cepheus asked as he looked back at James. "My brother and I have a thing for older men. Our dad was actually sleeping with our grandfather before he met Daddy."

"Xavywavy," James said, making a face. "Jimmy Jams is a much better name than Xavywavy or Kitty or Alby. They're definitely different."

James raised an eyebrow at that. "Your dad slept with your grandfather? That must be awkward at family reunions." He laughed, trying to work out Charlie's age in his head. "He's... somewhere between forty-five and fifty. Like I said, maybe a bit old. You sure Scorpius likes older men? I thought he mostly liked Albus."

"They're not different. You just don't like them because they're not our names." Cepheus told him, sorting. "They're not bad."

"It's not that awkward. We don't talk about it." Cepheus shrugged. "He does mostly like Albus. But, he has a little bit of a thing for older men. Like Becks."

"Different," James insisted, walking around the counter so he could wrap his arms around Cepheus. He kissed his neck, laughing a little. "Fucking Becks. One day I'm going to be on the English national team and you're going to meet him and I'm going to be jealous the whole time."

He slid a hand under Cepheus's shirt, biting at his neck. "Xavier's boyfriend is in musical theatre too, right? There's another option. We could get Scorpius an Albus knock-off."

"As you should be." Cepheus promised him as he looked James over. "Because, I'd totally be trying to get into his pants. And probably his wife's too. Lady Becks is fucking hot."

He kissed James again and made a soft sound. "I don't think it should be a knock off. Doesn't sound very healthy, does it?"

"You're fucking hotter," James grumbled, shaking his head. "It's a good thing I'm marrying you. Otherwise taking you on road trips with me would be hard. Leaving you here when you have classes is going to be torture too, but at least I won't be jealous that you think another player is hotter than me."

He kissed Cepheus again, laughing softly. "You're probably right. Scorpius should find a man who doesn't remind him of his childhood crush."

"Becks isn't hotter than you. I think you're just as hot as Becks." Cepheus promised James as he wrapped his arms around his neck, kissing him deeply for a long moment. "I would never leave you for him. And if he offered me sex, I'd ask you first. And ask you to join."

Cepheus hummed thoughtfully. "Invite your uncle for dinner. I'll tell Scorpius to come over."

James laughed at that. "As long as you ask permission and for my company," he said, kissing Cepheus back and humming against his lips. "You can have a threesome with Becks if I can have a threesome with Ryan Gosling."

Cepheus pouted at that. "I don't have abs like Ryan Gosling. You've at least got a body like Becks." He replied, lifting his shirt to look at his stomach. "Am I going to have to start working out?"

"Okay." Cepheus kissed at James's bottom lip. "Now. Stop distracting me with your male wiles. I have things to do. You're lucky I haven't signed us up for a surrogate yet."

James laughed at that, leaning down and kissing Cepheus's stomach. "No," he said. "I like you just the way you are. We've talked about this before. Ryan Gosling is just a celebrity I'd like to bang. He's got nothing on you."

He ruffled Cepheus's hair. "We can't have kids yet. We don't even have a house to put them in. We're not even married. Maybe I'm old-fashioned. You'd got to marry me before you knock me up."

James snorted. "Neither one of us is the girl. That's how the gay thing works," he said, kissing the top of Cepheus's head. "You're just better at the aesthetic stuff than me. I mean, you're the one who proposed, so technically I'm the bride here. I should be a diva. Demand a life-size cake replica of us or something."

He smiled down at Cepheus. "I'm not sure I'll like our house either, but I'm willing to give it a shot."

"If you were that much of a diva, I'd refuse to marry you." Cepheus shook his head, then looked James over for a moment. He leaned in and kissed him softly, then led him towards the stairs.

"I need a break." Cepheus whispered against his lips as they reached the stairs. "Do you want to take a break with me?"

James smiled against Cepheus's lips. "I want to take all the breaks in the world with you," he said, kissing him back. "But I don't want to burn out flat down. Need to turn the stove off."

He stole another kiss, pulling away from Cepheus. "Don't get started without me," he said, running over to the stove and flipping the burners off. He jogged back over to Cepheus and picked him up in his arms. "Now we can take a break."
