Albus had come and visit Scorpius at his work, so Scorpius had decided to come see Albus on his home turf. He'd even brought a lunch he thought Albus might actually enjoy. Scorpius didn't have a shoot for a few days, so carbs were fine today. He had sandwiches and crisps and drinks and this was going to be a great surprise for Albus. Plus, audition results came out today. He'd be here to congratulate or console, whichever was needed. Scorpius assumed Albus would get the role of Tony. He was Albus, and if he was going to do one year at a school before transferring and moving to New York, he was definitely playing the lead in a musical during that one year.

Scorpius walked into the musical theatre building and took his phone out to send Albus a text as he looked around for any sign of curly black hair. Do you know yet?

	Albus had been so nervous. So completely nervous. His stomach had churned all day as he waited in his class for the results to be posted. Scorpius looked down at his phone when he got the text from Albus, grinning. Two lead male roles. Of course Albus had got them. He spotted Albus across the building, standing around a bulletin board with a bunch of other students, some of whom did not seem as happy for Albus as Scorpius felt. He sent a quick text back. Never doubted it.

Scorpius walked up behind his boyfriend, wrapping an arm around his waist and kissing his neck. "Congratulations, Mr. Potter," he said, grinning. "I brought you lunch because I can eat today."

	Albus was not expecting Scorpius to come up behind him. He turned around and looked at him, grinning as people watched them. He leaned in and kissed Scorpius deeply. "Can you?" Scorpius laughed against Albus's lips, leaning into his touch a little. "I love you too," he said, trying to keep the bag with the sandwiches from getting smooshed. "Apparently I'll even love you in front of an audience."

He pulled back a little so he could smile at Albus. "You are amazing. I'm not surprised at all. You're going to be great in both shows." Scorpius kissed him softly. "I guess it's only fair that someone else got the other lead."

	"Caspar got it. Xavier's boyfriend." Albus told him with a shrug, running his hands up Scorpius's back. He pulled back a tad reluctantly, but grinned at Scorpius. "I'm sorry. I just missed you." 	"You'll have to come see my actually perform." Albus pointed out as he opened some doors and led Scorpius out towards some of the tables that were set up for people to eat at. He smiled at Scorpius. "I'm sure I'll be able to find time for it," Scorpius said, grinning at Albus as he took a seat at one of the table and dug the sandwiches and crisps out of his bag. He put a pop in front of Albus and opened a coconut water for himself. "I'm looking forward to cheering you on. And showing you off to everyone when your show debuts."

He took a bite of his sandwich. "Oh God, I missed bread so much." Scorpius snorted, covering his mouth as he swallowed. "Carbs are the best thing to ever happen to the world."

	Albus opened the soda and took a sip, then unwrapped his sandwich. "I do like carbs. But, definitely not the best thing. I think chocolate is probably the best thing ever." Scorpius laughed at that. "We should get some cake today. Then we can really celebrate this. You'll play Link and Tony and then we'll move to New York and you'll start going to school there with all this experience under your belt. It'll be great."

He opened his own bag of crisps, popping one into his mouth. "You're welcome. I thought it could either me comfort food of congratulatory food, but I was pretty sure you were going to get a part. I've seen you sing. You're amazing."

"That's true," Scorpius agreed. "I'm looking forward to the production values and the acting. It almost makes me not want to come to your rehearsals because I want to be surprised by you. But I will come. I want to support you." And do everything he hadn't done the first time they'd tried dating.

Scorpius glanced at his sandwich and laughed, taking a bite of it. "I learned a couple of things while I was away this summer. I had to pick up on some basic life skills, even if I still can't make a hot meal to save my life."

"You don't need to learn how to cook. I'm a Weasley." Albus pointed out, shrugging. "Part Weasley. It's in our blood to cook. I'm sure any kids James has with your brother will be able to cook too."

He ran his fingers against the back of Scorpius's hand, thinking about the ring he had for Scorpius. "Will you have dinner with me tomorrow night? I want to take you out."

"God. I can't believe Cepheus is talking about having kids already. I guess James is older than us, but not by much. It seems so insane," Scorpius said, shaking his head and taking a sip of his drink. "I feel like I should know how to do things like make sandwiches and do the dishes, even if you are a Weasley."

He nodded when Albus asked if he'd have dinner with him. "Of course," he said. "We can go wherever you want. Get burgers or fried chicken or whatever you'd like."

"A suit?" Scorpius repeated, raising an eyebrow at that. How often did Albus actually want to dress up? But it made sense. He'd gotten the lead in two musicals. "Okay," he agreed, laughing. "Dressing up sounds like fun."

He took a bite of his sandwich. "Do you want me to make reservations for us somewhere? If I drop my dad's name I can usually get a table pretty much anywhere."

"You do make me happy," Scorpius promised, smiling at Albus. There was still a part of him that was pretty sure he loved Albus more than Albus loved him, but they could work on that. They were going to move to New York City, away from Kit and people who gave a damn about who Scorpius's parents were and things would be a lot easier.

He reached out, fixing Albus's hair a little. "It's not a mess, really. I like it when you let your hair go wild. Cepheus and I had a conversation about how he likes James best all dressed up in a suit and thinks I'm inside for liking you in a hoodie with no hair product in."

	Albus laughed at that and touched Scorpius's hand in his hair. He brought it to his lips and kissed it gently, smiling at Scorpius as he did. "You are amazing. No matter what you look like." Scorpius nodded. "I think so. I got a call from the photographer we worked with asking for your information so they could pay you," he said. "You'll be able to put it on your CV the next time you audition for something. Modelling fits in with acting and singing, right?"

He took out his phone, scrolling through his messages. "I think my agent sent me the proofs. There was a shot she wanted me to put in my portfolio. Here we go." Scorpius opened the picture of him and Albus looking intensely into each other's eyes, pressed close together and then held his phone out to Albus. "What do you think?"

He took a bite of his sandwich, lapsing into silence for a moment. "Have Cepheus or James told you more about their wedding? It sounds like so much work."

He leaned against his boyfriend. This was how things should have been the first time they tried it. At least they'd gotten a second chance to try and make it right. "I love you."

	Albus didn't know how to answer that question. He didn't have a song to sing anymore. He was supposed to sing a duet, but he couldn't do that anymore. He shrugged and looked Scorpius over.
