Albus was more nervous than he'd ever been in his life. There were a lot of people from his school waiting in the restaurant, all pretending to be patrons. There was even a piano to play the music for him when he sang his song. Now, all he had to do was get Scorpius to say yes. Which was the part that was scaring him the most. What if Scorpius said no?

He was wearing a suit with a grey and blue bowtie as he led Scorpius into the restaurant and was seated at their table. "Have you ever been here before?"

Scorpius looked around the restaurant as they were shown to their table, shaking his head. "I don't think so," he said. He looked at Albus and smiled. "It's really nice. It's a good place to celebrate you getting two lead roles."

He reached for his menu. Something about Albus seemed a little off, though. He gave him an odd look. "Are you all right?" he asked. "You're pale."

	Albus looked up at Scorpius and shook his head. "Nothing's wrong. I'm fine." He promised him, reaching across the table to touch Scorpius's hand before he picked up his own menu. That didn't sound good at all. Kit had probably called and said he was transferring schools. Or Kit had visited Albus during rehearsal and they'd sung a magical duet and decided it was true love after all. Scorpius should have known that Albus taking him back was too good to last.

"Good something or bad something?" he asked, pretty sure he knew the answer already. He'd just order a salad or something and then Albus wouldn't be able to drag this out too long.

	Scorpius relaxed a little when Albus kissed the back of his hand and told him it was good. "Yeah, of course," he said. "And then you'd sing all the parts and try and make me sing along too, but I was never any good." He raised an eyebrow at Albus. "No. Not exactly." Albus laughed at Scorpius, squeezing his hand. "It's just that... I've always thought of Moulin Rouge as our movie. It's us. When I watch it, I always think of you and how much I love you."

He stood up as the piano began to play and some other students stood, playing their instruments as well. Albus smiled down at Scorpius and began to sing to him.

Scorpius looked around when the music started, then gave Albus a shocked look. Albus was singing to him in the middle of a restaurant. And he'd definitely planned all this. Well, he definitely wasn't getting dumped.

Scorpius wasn't sure what was going on either, but it was very difficult not to smile when Albus was singing a love song to him in front of a restaurant full of people. His. Albus loved him. Not Kit or anyone else.

Albus was so nervous, but when he was performing, it gave him less time to think. He poured his everything into the song for Scorpius, wanting him to love it. Wanting him to love him and no one else. And for him to say yes.

He finished off the song and took Scorpius's hand, getting down on his knee in front of him. He pulled out the simple band with the engraving "I'll love you until the end of time" on it and looked up at Scorpius.

"Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy." Albus smiled up at him. "Will you marry me?"

Scorpius stared down at Albus in shock. That was not where he'd expected this to go. At all. He'd thought... weren't people supposed to date for at least a year or something before they did this? Normal people?

But just because they were engaged didn't mean they had to get married right away, and it wasn't like Scorpius didn't know Albus was the one. He'd wanted to be his boyfriend for years. "I -- o-okay," he said. "I mean, yes. Yes, I'll marry you."

	Albus had felt a twist of nerves in his stomach when Scorpius had only said okay. Like he was hesitating. He smiled at him for a moment, then leaned in and kissed him deeply as everyone around them cheered. Cepheus smirked at James for a moment. "Alright. You won the bet. He said yes." He told him. Scorpius kissed Albus back. Part of him felt terrified. He wasn't ready to be anyone's husband. How could Albus possibly be that sure he wanted Scorpius for good already? But Albus had also just sang and incredibly romantic song to him and then proposed and a much larger part of Scorpius just wanted to go home and screw until neither one of them could move. "I love you," he whispered, when the kiss broke. "I'm kind of in shock."

James laughed, pulling Cepheus closer. "Not a chance," he said, giving him an affectionate peck on the temple. "Let's congratulate the copycats before they run off to fuck."

Scorpius wanted to question Albus planning this since last week when it had been ever less time since they'd gotten back together, but then Cepheus and James were coming and distracting him with something else. "Albus is an amazing performer," he said, smiling at Cepheus and James. "I guess we have to stay for dinner now."

"Everyone will be buying you champagne and stuff now," James said, waving a hand dismissively. "Enjoy the perks of not being proposed to spontaneously in a hallway. Congrats, Al. You've always caught up with me. I bet I marry my Malfoy first."

"There is such a thing as divorce." Cepheus arched a brow at him and snorted. "Don't test me, James Sirius Potter. Or you and I will be having problems." He leaned in and kissed him. "The two of you should go home and forget about eating." He led James away.

Albus laughed softly at the two of them and looked down at Scorpius. "Thank you for saying yes. I was so stressed about what you'd say."

James laughed at Cepheus as he was leg away. "I test you all the time. You love it," he said dismissively. "Your brother looks terrified. Maybe yes wasn't such a safe bet after all. But I still won." He wrapped his arms around Cepheus's middle. "Bondage time for me. I'll tie you up with those fancy silk ties you made me buy."

"Yeah, of course," Scorpius said, shaking his head. "Don't thank me for that, Alby. I've known you were what I wanted since I was thirteen years old." He was coming around to the idea of being fiances and not boyfriends. It was still kind of scary, but this was Albus and they could wait ages before they got married. "It was a beautiful proposal. I hope someone taped it."

"You did," Scorpius agreed, sitting down again and smiling at Albus. "Let's order dinner here. We just got engaged. We should add it to the list of things this dinner celebrates and then we can go home and shag each other's brains out because you're definitely getting laid after that proposal."

He looked down at his hand with the ring on it and then reached over and linked his with Albus's. "I want to get you an engagement ring too. This is really nice."

"Definitely," Scorpius said firmly, laughing at Albus's smile. "That was very romantic. I'm sure even the people who were your backup will be getting laid tonight for their participation." He leaned over the table, kissing Albus softly.

"I promise not to give you some ridiculous Malfoy family heirloom," Scorpius said, making a cross over his heart. "What do you want to order?" He looked down at the menu.

"I should have been in band," Scorpius said, laughing. "I might have lost my virginity before this year." Was he getting married too young? His parents wouldn't mind. They were all happy for Cepheus and his fathers like Albus better than James.

"Really?" Scorpius was surprised by that, for some reason. "Are you sure you want to be Albus Malfoy? Are you going to have a stage name, or use your real one?"

"I'm still sorry about that." Albus gave Scorpius a pathetic look. He hated to think about how he'd hurt Scorpius his first time, without realising that he was a virgin.

He looked down at his water when it was delivered. "I'll probably have to stay with Albus Potter. We probably won't be married by the time I get some of my first productions. I assumed you'd want to wait a bit."

Scorpius shrugged. "You just proposed to me," he pointed out. "That kind of makes up for it. If you feel really bad, you can have a do-over or something one day."

He nodded in agreement. "I'd like to wait. I want to be able to date you properly for a while before I'm your husband, you know? My longest relationship so far lasted two months and that wasn't even us. It'd probably be good if you were Albus Potter on stage and Albus Malfoy at home. Harder for people to find out where we live when you're famous and everyone's stalking you."

"I know," Scorpius said. "I was surprised when you proposed because we haven't been together for that long, but... we sort of have been. I think the only person who knows me better than you is Phe and that's only because we shared a womb."

Scorpius placed his own order and then laughed at Albus's question. "Well, I don't know about stalkers, I guess, but I think you'll definitely have fans. Loads of them. And you'll deserve them. You're going to be brilliant."
