Draco sat in the cafeteria prodding at an inedible jump of green jello with bits of apple suspended inside it. It looked like someone's science experiment and the one bite of it he'd had was almost enough to make him join the rest of the eating disordered patients on the second floor and throw it back up somewhere. He watched it jiggle, hating the hospital and it's horrible food, and trying not to think about how the one person he'd sort of befriended since coming to Sacred Springs was on the third floor recovering from a suicide attempt.

He wasn't even sure if he was allowed to miss her. She'd ignored him for the past week and been a bitch to him before that, pushing him away when he tried to comfort her. Draco had warned her about Rider and how dangerous he was and she's ignored him and ended up almost dead. It wasn't like it was his fault, but he still felt guilty about it and he was taking it out on the jello.

Severus Snape wasn't happy to be out among the other people of the hospital. He usually spent all his time in his office. But, now he needed to get his newer patient socialised on his new floor. He stopped in front of Draco and cleared his throat. "Mister Malfoy. This is Regulus. He's new to the floor. I'd like it if you could show him the ropes."

Regulus pushed hair from his face and looked Draco over. "You're kind of hot." He informed the other boy, then looked at Severus. "Can I smoke now?"

Draco looked up at Snape, feeling like whining about being stuck with the new kid when he was clearly busy with his jello, but if he did Snape would probably add a couple more months to his stay just because. At least the new kid had called him kind of hot.

"All right, I'll show him around," he agreed, pushing the jello away and then looking Regulus over. "You're not allowed to smoke here. It's against the rules."

"Not even outside? Fuck that." Regulus looked at Draco for a moment and then grumbled. He was going to go crazy if he didn't even have a cigarette. It was bad enough going through the treatment they were giving him without having the nicotine to make him feel better.

His eyes moved over Draco. "What are you going to show me?" He asked. "I've been on the third floor for a year. That's where they bring you your meals."

The third floor for a year? Draco gave Regulus a slightly surprised look. "A year?" he repeated. "What --" Asking why he was there was rude. But he was curious and Regulus didn't seem all that shy. "Why?"

Draco pushed the jello away and got to his feet. "I didn't mind having meals delivered when I was up there. Do you want to get something to eat now, or do you want to see the common room and all that first?"

"You... Okay," Draco said, snorting a little. "You're going to like Thoreau and Pyxis, then." He motioned for Regulus to follow him, leading him in the direction of the common room. "They don't mind having dicks rubbed against them."

He looked around the floor and then looked back at Regulus. "You have a lot mor freedom here. There's only one room they lock people in, and the only person I've ever seen get locked up there is Rider. He's a psychopath."

"Just Thoreau, then," Draco said. "Pyxis is a girl. Thoreau is a boy and I'm pretty sure he'll sleep with anything even a little bit interested, so that's a perk of moving floors, besides the addition of more colour into your life."

He looked back at Regulus as he led him into the common room. "You'll be able to say hello to him again, once he gets out of isolation. This is the common room. Sometimes people watch television, but mostly they play games. Luna tries to eat the game pieces. Fleur reads magazines and thinks she's ugly. Radley and the Lucys do puzzles and cuddle."

"He's outside," Draco said, shrugging. "We broke up before I got sent here, but he came and visited me the other week and we reconciled. He sent me books and some clothes. We talked about things going back to the way they were when I get out of here." Tom cared about him more than his father did. He was the only person who'd bothered to visit since Draco got put in the hospital. "He's married, but that doesn't really matter."

"It's not like I think he's going to leave her for me or anything," Draco said, shrugging. Not anymore, at least. But that didn't mean he couldn't keep Tom for himself. Whenever he wasn't with his wife or kid.

"I'll show you. This way." Draco led Regulus down the hall, towards the room he currently shared with Radley. "This is the male wing. They divide us by gender here. The other side is all girls."

"Radley Macnair," Draco said. "He's bipolar. Huge. Tried to kill himself and ended up in here instead." He looked at Radley's side of the room and shrugged. "We don't like each other. It probably won't be hard."

Draco raised an eyebrow at Regulus. "I know of him, but I don't think we've met," he said. He looked closer at the other boy. He did have Black bone structure, and Draco knew most members of the Black family weren't blonde like his mother. "My mother has pictures of him around the manor. I know the rest of the Black family isn't exactly fond of him. I didn't know he had a son."
