If Geoffrey's brain had been able to function, he might have considered running away, but his ability to function and think tended to drop drastically whenever Augusta was nearby. Particularly when she was...very nearby. He'd been smiling in the rather dopey, adoring manner he always managed when Augusta was with him, and then she'd...well, clamping her hands over his ears wasn't so very startling, as he'd never expected her to disclose the password to him, but the manner in which she did so...
It was safe to say that he wasn't precisely at the top of his game. And that he was blushing, and his mouth was open a little and he really didn't understand what had just happened.
Clearly this must have been his fault - Augusta couldn't have meant to get so close. He must have jostled her or something, and now she was embaressed and it was his fault. It couldn't be her fault.
And now he was thinking about her in ways -
"I'm sorry!" Geoffrey managed something that sounded like his voice before it'd broken, and then cleared his throat and tried again. "I mean, I'm very sorry, Au - Augusta, I didn't at all mean..." He took a step forward, suddenly very worried.
