The stairwell always took forever, and normally, when she was on her own, Augusta took the steps as slowly and carefully as she could. Getting dizzy and falling over would not be helpful, or any good, especially with an arm full of books. But, when there was company, the stairs were trivial things, and it was prudent that Augusta show that she could handle taking the steps quickly and efficiently. "I searched the room already, I have no idea if it'll even be here.." she trailed off, shrugging her shoulders.
But then Geoffrey brought up a question that made Augusta's heart beat much, much quicker than it normally would. We've known one another a very long time..
He wasn't..
Maybe he was! Augusta couldn't help but flutter and almost stop just a step above Geoffrey, and even then, he was still taller, letting the air rush back to her head. "Yes, we have," she managed to answer, needing to take heavier breaths just to stay normal. In the moment she hesitated, however, the trip up the stairs caught up with her, and the dizziness hit her head like a load of bricks. She tried to catch the railing, but slipped, uttering a cry of, "oh!" and then falling backwards.
