Goodness, how embarrassing. One second, she was perfectly fine with taking the spiral stairs, and then the next she was flat on her back. Well, not really, as Geoffrey had been there to catch her, which was decidedly for the best. Finally regaining her breath, Augusta could feel the blush rise in her cheeks.
"Oh, Geoffy," she stuttered in a way that was rather unbecoming of herself. "I'm - I'm terribly sorry. I must not have caught my footing right, or just gotten dizzy, and-" she stopped, noticing for the first time that they had collapsed on the staircase itself, with Geoffrey holding her around the middle. Considering that Augusta found herself very content to be lying where she was, however it felt odd that they were like that on the stairs, in plain view of everyone.
Smiling weakly, Augusta sighed sheepishly and sat up, noticing that Geoffrey's hand was touching her clothes that were touching her skin and oh, that felt wonderful. "I'm sorry. Let's continue, then," she said, sitting up properly, although really, not wanting him to take his hands off of her. Carelessly, she pushed Geoffrey's glasses up onto the bridge of his nose. "Are you calling me Auggie?" she asked, more as an afterthought.
It was sort of cute, really.
