perhaps their mothers are related? kyla grew up in a very strict household as well, and lived in columbus, ohio up until her grandfather (on her fathers side) passed away and left them his fortune & hilton-esque hotel chain. it was right before her freshman year that their family relocated to salt lake city to be closer to family aka your girls family. oh, and she is also super close to nina and kaela.
