reagan, liam
Reagan hadn't been held captive for nearly as long as the others. It had only been a little over a month for him, but it'd still felt like forever. The days and nights bled together and he'd lost all concept of time, time which he never really considered a big deal before, but now he felt very differently.
The drive back home was quiet, he'd slept most of the way with his head curled up on Liam's lap while Chancellor drove. When they got to the house, it felt surreal, and he'd never been so happy to see his home. It was even more surreal to step inside, and when Spooky showed up at his feet meowing loudly, he had to smile and scoop the little white creature up. The immediate purring was comforting, and he scratched behind the cat's ears before he put him back down and turned to Liam so that he could pull his husband into a much needed hug.
The house was absolutely silent, and Reagan could tell that not much living had gone on in it while he'd been away. But it was still home. He was relieved that it still felt like home. Breathing in Liam's scent, he let out a quiet sob, finally giving in to crying now that it was just the two of them.
