With Reagan here, his appetite had come back. Later, he would lose it again once he started dwelling on the fact that Adam was still on the loose. But for now, he was looking forward to something warm in his stomach.
Putting the pot on the stove, he poured the tomato soup into it to heat it up and then he began work on the grilled cheese. About midway through, he stopped and looked up at Reagan for a long while, floored by just how casual and familiar this felt. He nearly burned the sandwich, but managed to refocus and flip it over just in time. He was in simple awe over this and how he used to take things like this for granted.
