Far from a big hand-shaker himself, Wyatt didn't offer either. But he did note how Murphy kept his hands in his pockets almost protectively. "It's very uncommon for the victim of this particular kind of crime to return to law enforcement to pay gratitude. It tends to remind them of the experience itself, which is generally perceived to be a negative. Not that your thanks isn't very kind, but one has to wonder as to how you arrived upon the decision to come here."

Wyatt never pulled any punches, and even though he was a very kind young man at heart, he could treat people more like statistics and test subjects rather than humans.
