Wyatt was certainly not the person they sent when they needed someone with any sort of tact at all. He held back a squeak at the arm pinch and looked at Micah as if he didn't know what he'd done to deserve that. But as soon as the man started covering for him, he knew he'd made a mistake.
"I'm terrible with people," he said honestly. "Murphy, you don't need to leave. I'd like you to stay. And besides, the train you're looking for won't be coming for at least another hour." If the map in his head served him correctly anyway. "I'm concerned that you don't want to let go of this part of your life and that's why you're here." He glanced back at Micah as if to ask if that had been okay to say.
