Vegas was anything but slow as he drove back to his apartment. He'd given Murphy a key just in case he needed it for anything, mostly because he'd suspected that things would be a bit rough with Seth at first. He wanted Murphy to have a place to go.
Once he parked, he headed upstairs, taking the steps two at a time. He unlocked the door and slipped inside, looking around frantically.
"Murphy?" he called out as he went from the kitchen, to the living room, to the bathroom, "Murph?" he asked as he popped his head into his room.
He'd known Murphy wasn't there, he could feel he wasn't there, but he was hoping against hope that he was wrong. When the place did turn out to be empty, his stomach sank and he sat down on the bed to put his face into his hands. Murphy wouldn't just take off on his own without telling him. He wouldn't leave Seth without telling him. Vegas knew that. He just did. He pulled his cell back out and called Seth's number.
"He's not here," he said quietly once Seth answered.
