"Yes," he nodded and then let out a bitter, self-derisive sound. "I was on a stake out because we thought he was going after one of our younger agents. He was just setting us up." Sometimes, when he thought about how Adam had used their assumptions against them, Liam wished he would have gotten there before the police and shot him. He'd never actually felt that way about a criminal before, believing that jail was the best place for them. But Liam wanted to kill Adam, wanted to be the one responsible for a slow and painful gut shot.
"I'm sure you know how generally bleak the outlook is for people with PTSD." That wasn't entirely true. There were plenty of treatments available, but Liam was busy focusing on the negative.
