Parker looked down at the table, chewing on the inside of his cheek. "Honestly? You wouldn't even have to take me out to dinner," he said shyly, implying that Callaway might already be right where he wanted to be for something more than just reading each other's manuscripts. Parker really liked the man and he wasn't the type to go much farther past like before hopping into bed with someone. Granted, he was impulsive and self-destructive so he didn't have the best judgement. He was completely offering himself up, but not in a very deep way.
