Instinctively, Parker leaned forward to test some of the sauce and it was quite good. His eyes fluttered shut with enjoyment and he made a little sound in the back of his throat. But when Callaway complimented his work like that, his eyes flew open and his face burst into one of the brightest smiles anyone had ever seen on the somber boy.
