"You do?" Ruby said with a raised eyebrow and a smile that had a slight conceit to it, but was quickly masked by a more innocent wideness. She paused for a moment to both survey the situation and allow the anticipation to build. She could just end it here and seek to embarass Miss Madley. But somehow that seemed unsatisfactory to Ruby. She sensed that there would be more fun to be had with this one. And she was all for fun as these were boring times.
"I'm glad then," she said, finally, softly, meeting her lips with her own.
