Ruby smiled and nodded. She had her own ways of getting what she wanted, but for alcohol it often involved a sympathetic intermediate. Much of what she did seemed to work that way as she never was particularly fond of dirtying her own hands unless it was necessary to obtain her ends.
The smile on her lips were sweetly positioned--perhaps overly sweetly to those who knew her well--and nodded.
"Quite a clever ruse," she said in an admiring tone of voice. So apparently Laura exploited a basic instinct and weakness that most stupid blokes had. It wasn't terribly surprising or clever to her, but she decided to humour the girl since she seemed so proud of herself.
"Of course. And I can take it in shots too," Ruby said with a shrug. "I'm a fairly flexible individual."
