Stephen felt a warm rush running through his body when Hannah placed her hand on his arm, and he smiled. "If I'm honest with you, all I want it's you to give me a chance, as a boyfriend. But I can understand if you don't want that, it's all so sudden after all, and maybe you don't share the same feelinsg for me... But I just want to let you know we wouldn't need to rush things, we'd go as slow as you'd want... And if in the end I'm not what you want, I'll go away -- though I'd rather be what you want." He said the last line with a soft chuckle. "Although I don't want you to feel pressured by this, Hannah. If you don't want any of this, I'll stop and leave you alone." But he wanted her to want this so badly. After all those years he finally made up his mind and told her how he felt, and now he was trully scared he would say no to him.
