Stewart let out a groan and sat up when he heard the name Stew. When would people get past the need to nickname him? Maybe he should just go by Barrett from now on, surely the nicknames from that couldn’t be as horrid. “Aw Laura did Melanie tell you to call me that from now on? She’s referring to me as Wart too,” Stewart let out a short laugh as he rolled his eyes. Barrett would definitely be an upgrade. “And sure! Let me have it!”
Stewart didn’t change his demeanour as she asked him the question. It wasn’t as though he was trying to hid anything. The only thing that troubled him was where the question could lead to. “Uh huh. What’s this about?” Stewart gave Laura a smile as he sat up and crossed his legs and leaned towards his friend.
