There was actually dust on his book. Stewart smiled as he ran his finger across it, looking at light grey mark it had left on his finger. He should really pick up his Astronomy book up more often; after all it wasn’t like the class was getting any easier. It was sheer lack of determination on Stewart’s part when it came to his classes, he would absorb the material, and flip through books just to enjoy them, but when he was actually told to do something all that would cease and he would become the laziest person imaginable. As Stewart flipped to the page he needed—this assignment would be due soon, after all—he cut his finger on one of the pages. It was a sharp pain, and probably hurt more than it technically should have. Just a bit of blood, nothing more. He brought his finger up to his mouth and tried to soothe the cut, too small for magic. It was then when he heard the voice behind him.
Maybe it was a bit pathetic that he already knew who it was by just their voice, but for a moment his heart sped up and a smile ran across his face. He’d just have to finish this work later; right now all that mattered was the fact that Dean—his Dean—was waiting for him. In the farthest stacks no less, the place that Madam Prince would die if she knew what was honestly going on. He honestly had it bad for this boy. It’d been a fight to preoccupy himself with other thoughts and things, all this time had been straining, but Dean. Dean, in the farthest stacks.
Stewart tossed his school books in his bag, being careful to leave the library books he was using in a neat pile on the desk. He took a quick look around and straightened his face before walking to back stacks. Dean didn’t need know how much effect he had on him, right?
Though when Stewart saw dean, his resolve disappeared and he let a small smile appear on his face. “Doing some extra reading?”
