Who: Susan Bones and Theodore Nott
Where: Library Astronomy Section
When: Starts 7mins before 7:00pm Friday 24th of October
What: Paired together for an Astronomy Project
Rating: G - PG
Status: Incomplete

Oh bollocks, getting to the library was hold difficulty with Susan. The moving stairs where a problem considering her fast ascent was not happening and she kept on getting caught on the stairs as they moved. Needless to say she discovered it wasn’t as funny or cool as before, and was just annoying. Susan finally managed to navigate her way when she got to the correct floor; she was not in the location she had originally planned but not far off. She used some passageways he had once discovered but rarely used and made her way to the library. She had to be early still right? She luckily was still early by seven minutes. Sure it wasn’t the fifteen she had originally hoped for but it was still early.

Making her way to the Astronomy section of the library she slipped into the seat at the table. She pulled out her quill and some parchment. Susan then grabbed the book she was currently reading and opened it. She was deeply involved in the tale of Mark Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett in the world of Pride and Prejudice. Susan was quite content with just reading her book, as she waited rather than getting out her astronomy textbook and just sitting there waiting for Theodore Nott. If he didn’t show she would just do the work on her own, and get it done tonight and most of tomorrow. If he showed then she would work with him, it was that simple.

Theodore's journey to the library had been fairly uneventful. Being himself, he arrived in the astronomy section hours before their meeting and wasted away the hours by browsing through old texts and flicking through charts and star maps. Astronomy had always been an endless fascination for him. He had dedicated hours of his childhood merely trying to map out all the stars in the heavens in his mind- though he wasn't quite able to accomplish that. He couldn't digest someone would even suggest that he would ruin it for them...

Hours later, Theo had left the secluded area to inquire a certain text to the librarian behind her desk. When he returned, book in hand, he then saw that his partner had finally arrived; his lips curled in mild distaste at how... yellow she was. "Took you long enough." he mumbled, taking his bag he had left on the seat just beside the Hufflepuff and took it to a much farther chair. He sat a little way from where she was and was about to continue reading, when something caught his eyes. 'She is reading Pride and Prejudice?' he was just about to disregard such a thing completely, when his bag then accidentally fell on the floor. The contents of his bag all spilled out on the cold stone floor; his parchments, an ink bottle -which thankfully did not break- and horrifyingly, his own copy of Pride and Prejudice. Theo sat stunned for the longest time before he bent down and summoned all his things back. After which, he merely returned reading, almost as if nothing had happened. "Any plans of starting this soon, or should we merely discuss what a ponce Mark Darcey is, in every sense of the word?"

Susan had not heard his mumble but she had heard his arrival and to be polite she looked up at him. She was surprised he was here and had not bailed on her so that put him up a notch in her books. She went back to reading the last of the page she was on; the book was such a memory to her that she really didn’t need to know. She did look up again before it was finished to watch the contents of his bag spill out. She raised an eyebrow and almost moved to help but knew it would not be wanted. She did catch a glimpse of Pride and Prejudice though. Strange… was all she could think. Why would he be reading that she questioned herself? She finally closed her book and looked up at him.

“Well we could delving into the stubbornness that is Marc Darcy and the fact he is a ponce, or we could just have you and do the project.” Susan looked at him with a smile as she put her book back in her bag. “Nice choice of book though,” she added as an after thought and pulled out her books that she might need. “What do we want to do our project on?”

Her sweet smiles were... sickening, Theodore thought, as he returned the gesture with a scowl of his own. She saw it, he knew, and her little comment confirmed everything. Theo was still slightly uneasy about the recent accident with his bag, though from where she was standing she perhaps wouldn't really notice; his features were set on its usual passive mask. "I'd rather we do the project, actually. I merely got the impression that you'd much rather read since even when you felt my presence you continued on. Says a lot about you, actually." he said, unwavering, his eyes directly staring into hers. "And why must you inquire such a thing from me? I'm not the one worried that I may ruin this course for you." he closed his recent text, leaned his elbows against the wooden table before continuing. "So since I'm entirely generous, why don't you suggest what you'd wish to study on?" Theodore sat back and surveyed her, from the less than immaculate state of her robes to her innocent features. This will let him know if she actually knew anything at all about Astronomy. If he was right -that she as no clue what this course was about- he would merely stand up and leave; and if he proves her wrong... Well, good for her then.

“Oh just shut and stop complaining,” Susan said as she scowled at him. Her defences were up with this one. “I am not going to explain myself to about why I kept reading, no need and you of course have no interest. You just think I’m a lowly Hufflepuff, so just stop you complaining I get it and let’s just continue shall we?” Susan was not going to deal with him. People had pushed her around enough this year and she just wanted to get this done. “And this is what I meant about ruining the course, you and you snide comments.” Susan spoke calmly and her voice containing the innocence as always. She wasn’t just going to be a kicked puppy.

“Oh, wow so generous,” she said with amusement in her voice. She flipped open the text book. “A few thoughts I had were on the affect of the moon’s movement around the earth on the affect to gravitation pull. If that doesn’t strike your fancy we could do something on the movement of stars, as small as it may appear t us. This would be a longer project as we would have to monitor it. Another idea would be the affects to positions of moons, stars and so forth on the magic world. So like making potions on certain cycles. Also how witches and wizards use the stars as well.” Susan looked at him as she finished speaking for each idea she had something marked in her book and she was ready to flip to them if he didn’t shoot down any of her ideas. “Do you have any suggestions you want to throw onto the table?”
