The part of Michael's brain that was completely oblivious to things, more things than he would like to ever admit, didn't fully realize just how much Morag seemed to change when he was around. He thought he had the magic touch with everyone, really, not just Morag. He didn't know what exactly they were, or where exactly they were going, but he couldn't figure it out on his own. The confessions about her feelings made him think, but he never came to a conclusion about what exactly he thought. If she asked about that, he was bound to either repeat her questions or ask for her input before answering.
By the time she had finished speaking he had made it so he was standing next to where she was sitting. He glanced around for a few moments before focusing his attention entirely on her. "Pity they don't make tree trunks as soft as they used to, really," he joked, trying to figure out just what sort of mood Morag was in. Should he start preparing for a lecture? Maybe the speech he had been planning for the house elves could be used on her, too. Or maybe he could just try to ignore the topic altogether. "At least it's sort of nice out here. Not warm enough for sunbathing, but I reckon it's better than it could be," he said as he accepted her invitation and plopped down in a clumsy manner, trying not to bump into her. At least no one else was wandering over to join them.
"I don't know, am I allowed to have one? Or two?" he asked, playfully trying to keep the mood light.
