Re: Ginny and Harry: Astronomy Tower
"To be determined at a later date," Harry mused before cracking up into laughter. He gave Ginny a tight hug, laughing against her skin. "Well as a promise then? This is something that maybe you should be sure to take off when we are on the Quidditch pitch - look forward now, just for a moment Gin."
He reached into the pocket of his dress robes and pulled out a small jeweler's box, something he had Tonks pick up for him on Diagon Alley, since she was able to take his fumbling descriptions of what he wanted and make perfect sense of them - Kreacher hadn't done so well on that front. A woman knows these things, Tonks said. She was right, this was what I wanted.
Handling it delicately, Harry withdrew the fragile silver chain, a solitary, large diamond dangling from it. It had been charmed with starlight, so it radiated a small halo of light against his palm, and, swallowing nervously, he reached around her neck and after fumbling with the clasp, fastened it. "For you," he said simply. "From me. A promise."
