Ron and Hermione and Ginny and Harry: the great hall
Though their bantering could border on being somewhat cruel, Hermione was very fond of the way Ginny and Ron seemed to go back and forth with one another. When Harry looked at her, she shook her head, smiling despite things. Over the years, she had grown used to it and was becoming quite skilled at ignoring it.
When Ginny nearly went to far, she hid her laugh behind her hand, her shoulders shaking with laughter as Ginny jumped when Harry pinched her. Clearing her throat, she tried to compose herself.
"Oh, Harry, it's really nice," she exclaimed when Ginny gave her the perfect opportunity to distract herself from her laughter. "It looks pretty on you, Ginny." And really, it did. It flattered her perfectly.
Hermione resisted the urge to glance at Ron when Harry mentioned dancing. She assumed that they would have a few turns around the dance floor, but she wanted him to ask her, not the other way around. She wasn't going to make the first move, even if he had asked her to the ball finally. "I think that would be everyone if you threaten to step on our toes."
